What size tree do I need for my room?

Allow at least 30cm between the treetop and your ceiling. As a guide: a 6ft tree suits rooms with 8ft ceilings comfortably, while a 7ft tree works best with 9ft ceilings or higher. Always measure your space including the star or topper before ordering.

How long do your pre-lit trees last?

Our ranges are built for 10+ seasons with proper storage. Our LED lights are rated for 50,000 hours of use. We recommend storing your tree in the original box or a breathable tree bag in a cool, dry place.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — all bestselling ranges include free tracked delivery to mainland UK addresses. For Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands, a delivery supplement may apply. Estimated delivery is 3–5 working days.

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day hassle-free returns policy on all trees, provided they are returned in their original packaging. Simply contact our customer care team and we'll arrange a collection. Refunds are processed within 5 working days of receipt.

Are your trees safe to use around children and pets?

All our trees are flame-retardant and comply with UK safety standards. The materials used across our ranges are non-toxic and safe for homes with children and pets. We always recommend keeping lights unplugged when you're not in the room.

Do the lights come with the tree or are they separate?

All trees in our bestsellers range are pre-lit — the lights are built in and woven through the branches during manufacture. No separate stringing needed. Each tree comes with a mains power lead and, where relevant, a remote control for light modes.

What if a section of lights stops working?

Our trees use a fail-safe LED system — if one bulb fails, the rest of the section stays lit. If you experience any issues within your guarantee period, contact our customer care team and we will replace the tree or the affected section free of charge.

A 10 Year Tree Foliage Guarantee

We're so confident in the quality of our product range, we offer a full, 10-year guarantee on all our artificial Xmas trees to be free from manufacturer defects. This means, should any part of your tree fail due to a manufacturer's fault, within the first 10 years of purchase, we'll replace the faulty part free of charge. This does not include wear and tear or damage caused by incorrect storage.

Sustainability Pledge

Christmas Tree World has worked with the fantastic Borneo Nature Foundation (BNF) to help restore the rainforest and save the home of wild Bornean orangutans.

During our partnership with the BNF, Christmas Tree World purchased a seedling grown by local communities in Borneo, for every order placed for Christmas Trees on our website. The seedlings were planted in the fire-damaged rainforest by the local charity BNF.

Since 2024 we have increased our contributions to work with a new charity partner "TreeApp". Our latest donation has been used to help restore the Usambara Forests in Tanzania.

This means that every customer who purchases a tree from Christmas Tree World will be contributing to essential reforestaion projects around the globe. Read more about this project here.

Christmas tree size guide

Artificial Christmas trees can come in a variety of heights. The best way to decide on the right tree height for you is to consider your space in the room you plan to put the tree in and if you want the tree to fill a room or add as an accent piece. As a best practice, you’ll want to select a tree that is at least 6 inches shorter than your ceiling, or 18 inches shorter if you plan on adding a tree topper. The typical height of a ceiling in a home is 8-9 feet.

Under 6 feet trees: Ideal for tabletops, decorative accents, small spaces, entryways, or kids’ bedrooms.
6-8 feet trees: The most common tree size and perfect for most homes with average height ceilings.
Over 8 feet trees: Great for homes with taller than average ceilings, two story homes, and perfect for a space where you want your tree to be dramatic and a focal point of the room.
